Raumati summer messaging, collateral and media plan
Kia ora koutou
Over the last month, tima raumati has been developing Summer Key Messaging for the 2023/24 holiday season. In previous years the focus has been very much on COVID-19 public health messaging. This year’s Summer messaging is a Te Whatu Ora initiative covering wide ranging topics, including:
- COVID-19 remains a risk this summer
- Protect yourself and others by keeping up healthy habits
- Plan ahead and be prepared before visiting whānau, travelling or attending events
- There are many ways we can look out for ourselves and others over summer
- Where to find support from the right healthcare providers when they need care
- Be aware of the viruses, bugs and illnesses to look out for this summer
- How to manage issues relating to El Nino including extreme heat (eg: care for elderly)
The attached messaging is available for you to use as a platform for your own regional messaging and campaign materials you are developing over the summer months. It has been developed by representatives of:
- National Public Health Service
- Outbreak Response
- National Immunisation Programme
- Care in the Community
- Te Aka Whai Ora
- Pacific Health
- Commissioning
- HNZ Media
The messages have also had national clinical sign-off.
We’ve had strong advice from clinical colleagues about the importance of highlighting COVID-19 messaging. This remains a high risk and therefore can you emphasise this important information where possible in any material/collateral you share regionally or locally.
Also below is a table showing key activities and dates for material, collateral and activity delivery, over coming weeks.
