Membership

PMAANZ's membership categories allow all types of health care managers and administrators to benefit through membership of the Association.

All members have the rights set out in the Constitution of PMAANZ and are subject to the rules of the organisation. Members are encouraged to build professionalism through ongoing education.

The current membership fee set at the 2023 PMAANZ AGM and will apply from 1 October 2023

NEW, RENEWING AND CORPORATE MEMBERS COSTS FOR 2024:

  • New and Renewing members are: Annual payment is $262.50 excl GST.
  • New Corporate Member Payment is: Annual payment of $210 excl GST
  • When you are joining up for the first time you incur a one-off joining fee of $65 excl GST

PRACTICE MEMBERSHIP COSTS FOR 2024:

  • Practice Membership (1-2 sites) is $475 excl GST, per site you would like to have access.
  • Practice Membership (3-6 sites) is $335 excl GST, per site you would like to have access.
  • Practice Membership (7+ sites) is $280 excl GST, per site you would like to have access.
  • Joining fee for 1-6 sites is $100 + GST
  • Joining fee for 7+ sites is $130 + GST

MEMBER

A Member is someone who is able to demonstrate that he or she is presently a practice Manager or administrator or is otherwise involved in practice management within the health sector. As a Member they are eligible for all member benefits, entitled to have one vote at the Annual General Meeting and are eligible for election to the local or national committee. (Refer 5.3 Constitution)


HONORARY LIFE MEMBER

An Honorary Life Member is a person approved as such by the Annual General Meeting on the unanimous recommendation of the Committee. They are approved on the basis that he or she has been or is currently a member of PMAANZ and has shown meritorious performance and service to the society. An Honorary Life member is entitled to all member benefits and is eligible for election to the local or national committee. They are entitled to one vote at the Annual General Meeting. An Honorary Life member is exempt from the annual membership fee for their lifetime. (Refer 5.4 Constitution).


CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

A Corporate Member is an organisation approved as a corporate member of the society by the committee on the basis that the organisation has a bona fide interest in health care and sympathises with or aids in the promotion of the purposes of the society. Additional criteria may be set by the committee. An organisation may hold multiple corporate memberships. Corporate members are eligible for the benefits of Corporate membership which will be determined by the committee from time to time as will the Corporate membership fee. Corporate members are not entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting and are not eligible for election to the national or local committee. (Refer 5.5 Constitution).

A Corporate member is not eligible to join a branch.


PRACTICE MEMBERSHIP

The Practice Membership includes medical, GP, specialist, dental, allied health practice or community health centre approved for practice membership  of the society by the committee on the basis that it delivers health care within the heath sector. This membership enables multiple persons within a single practice to participate in the services and benefits of PMAANZ. Subscriptions are based on the number of sites operating under each parent company or other business entity forming the relevant practice. Practice membership remains with the business entity, irrespective of staff changes. (Refer 5.6 Constitution).


AUSTRALIAN MEMBER

An Australian Member is a current member of the Australian Association of Practice Management Limited who is able to demonstrate that he or she is presently working in the health sector and is aspiring to be a health sector practice manager or administrator or become otherwise involved in practice management within the health sector. As an Australia member they are eligible for all member benefits. They are not eligible to vote neither at the Annual General meeting nor for the election to any local or national committee. (Refer 5.7 Constitution).

PRIVACY DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

PMAANZ undertakes not to give members' details to any other organisation except bonafide direct mail businesses for the purposes of PMAANZ itself communicating with its members. This might include PMAANZ sending offers from or on behalf of businesses targeting our members. Members' information will not be provided to people or organisations that are not members.
