The Wellington branch meets monthly, we alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays and lunch time and evening meetings in order to suit the maximum number of members. Each year we have a planning meeting in December, and then produce a calendar of events. We usually meet at the rooms of a Wellington PHO, Compass Health, in Willis Street, but we occasionally go elsewhere in the region, again aiming to suit a variety of members. We send out meeting reminders via email to all members and publicise our meetings to non-members via some of our local PHOs and through Chris Wills of MAS. We serve lunch or finger food, plus coffee and tea at each meeting.
Our AGM is held in April, it would be great to see some of the new members attend, as it is a great opportunity to mix and mingle and get to know some of the more experienced Practice Managers that are more than willing to share their knowledge.
At all our gatherings, we always include time for a 'meet and greet' followed by a speaker and then a brief branch business meeting. Sessions are relaxed and friendly, and support/networking make up a large part of the branch's reason for being.
New members are always welcome.
