HNZ: National Immunisation Programme update for week ending 4 November 2022

Shingles vaccine

We wanted to give you a heads up that on Monday 7 November we will be sending out an email about the shingles vaccine. The email will communicate to people who have recently turned 65 and those that are soon to turn 66 and direct them to contact their medical practice to book or discuss the shingles vaccine the next time they are seeing their doctor.

REMINDER:  National Immunisation Programme hui

Don’t forget our next National Immunisation Programme hui is being held from 12 noon – 1.00pm, Thursday 10 November 2022. We warmly invite you to attend.

This lunchtime hui is designed to keep our vaccination and immunisation teams up to date with plans and activities undertaken by the National Immunisation Programme. The hui will include the following updates:

• Overall programme updates
• Vaccine updates
• Equity programme updates 

We are very pleased to confirm the hui will include a presentation from the team at Kōkiri Hauora and Social services on the great mahi they have been doing in the vaccination service within the community.
