Regulatory guidance for health professionals on upcoming controlled drug classifications

Please find attached a letter (and associated table) which provides guidance to pharmacies and prescribers on the upcoming classification changes for fentanyl, zopiclone and zolpidem on 1 July, and for tramadol on 1 October 2023.

We would appreciate if you could assist with sharing this information with your members and colleagues.

Please note this change is not related to any other work on the prescribing of opioids.
