HNZ: COVID-19 Care in the Community update for primary care - 12 September 2022

COVID-19 outbreak response
- The Government has announced today the COVID-19 Protection Framework will end at 11.59pm tonight, Monday 12 September, along with other changes to mask wearing, isolation, vaccinations and wider access to COVID-19 antivirals.
COVID-19 Care in the Community
- Pharmac has widened access to three antiviral medicines to treat early COVID-19 from this Wednesday, September 14, which more than doubles the size of the eligible population.
- Updated claiming guidance for primary care clinical assessments of COVID-19 patients comes into effect from Wednesday, 14 September, and is linked to Pharmac’s access criteria for antiviral medicines. For any questions about these changes, please contact COVIDCareintheCommunity@health.govt.nz.
