COVID-19 Care in the Community update for primary care

COVID-19 outbreak response
- An update on summer planning and the COVID-19 responsewas given at a media briefing last week by Director-General and lead of the Public Health Agency, Dr Andrew Old, Manatū Hauora – Ministry of Health Chief Science Advisor Dr Ian Town and Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Interim National Medical Director Dr Pete Watson.
- Updated data and statistics about COVID-19 are published regularly on the Manatū Hauora website, including cases and demographics, sources of cases, testing, Māori and Pacific peoples’ data, trends and insights, vaccine data and other resources. For example, here is the latest COVID-19 trends and insights report, which was released last Friday.
MPX (monkeypox)
- An updated version of the ‘MPX (monkeypox) – clinical update’ document has been added to the MPX information for clinicianspage on the Manatū Hauora – Ministry of Health website.Expanded advice about isolating if you test positive for MPX has also been added.
