ACC: Cost of Treatment Regulations Consultation

The proposed changes to the Cost of Treatment Regulations are now open for consultation on the MBIE website – this includes the proposal for a combined Nurse/Nurse Practitioner visit rate. The consultation closes on 18^thOctober.

Cost of Treatment Regulations open for consultation 

The proposed changes to the Cost of Treatment Regulations are now open for consultation.   

The regulations are reviewed every two years to make sure: 

·        payment rates mean that treatment is affordable for injured New Zealanders 

·        costs to ACC are affordable, sustainable, and consistent  

·        payments are not too dissimilar across the health and ACC systems. 

The consultation is led by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE).  Submissions will help inform MBIE’s advice to the Minister for ACC on adopting the proposed updates.
